What to expect

01Book online or call
Pick a time online or call us at 631-673-1862. Tell us if this is your first visit. We’ll send you the forms before your visit, so you can fill them out online ahead of time.

02Bring a few things
- A photo ID
- Your dental insurance card, if you have one
- A list of any medicines you take
- A parent or guardian, for patients under 18

03We listen first
Dr. Chhikara asks about your health, any worries and what you want for your smile.

04Exam and a clear plan
We look at your teeth and gums, take X-rays if needed, and explain what we see. You decide what happens next. If we find gum disease, your cleaning may be booked as a separate visit, and we’ll explain why.

Your X-rays are digital, so they are ready to look at right away.

A small camera takes close-up pictures inside your mouth, so you can see exactly what we are talking about.

Your X-rays and pictures show on a screen right by your chair, so we can go over them together on the spot.

Yes. We care for kids and adults, so the whole family can come to one place.

Do you take my insurance?
We accept most PPO plans. Call us at 631-673-1862 with your plan details and we will check yours.
Is there a new patient offer?
Yes. New patients without dental insurance get an exam, X-rays and a cleaning for $99, through January 15, 2027. See the details.
Do I pay anything with insurance?
Most PPO plans cover your checkup visit (exam, X-rays and routine cleaning) in full, so many new patients pay $0 for that visit. Other treatment, like fillings, crowns or a deeper cleaning, depends on your plan's coverage, deductible and co-pay. We'll check your benefits and go over any cost with you before we start, so there are no surprises.
